Maybe one or the other of you still remembers occurrences BEFORE the Corona crisis…
End of February this year, we already had to experience a bitter blow. One part of our newly built test building for battery testing, environmental simulation and electrical safety testing, which we only completed in the past year, was severely affected by a fire at night. We had informed you about this in a newsletter.
Fortunately, we could establish even then that the damage to our test systems had been relatively minor; and – which is even more important – that nobody had been injured.
In order to avoid service interruptions for our customers, we took extensive measures immediately after the fire occurred, together with professional fire clean-up specialists. In addition to the relocation of mobile testing facilities to other buildings, the focus was on securing, verifying, or calibration and commissioning our testing facilities.
After initial analyses of fire experts and structural engineers, it was clear, that the facade of the test hall would have to be completely rebuilt. By means of a hall-in-hall construction, we were able to resume our test operations within a very short time – even for our large stationary testing facilities.
Meanwhile we are in the middle of the rebuilding of this test hall. We assume that the last section of the reconstruction of facade and roof will be finished by September.
This is important for you: There are no impairments or delays for you and your project with us!
In our temporary hall in hall construction, the test operations will be continued without any restrictions. Of course, this also applies to our large 300 kN shaker, which is located in a separate hall area and there in a specially constructed cabin in a sheltered shaker pit.
Our customers also do not need to worry about parking space restrictions due to the construction work, since our customer parking spaces are located in front of our main building and are naturally still available. Of course, we take special care of the safety of you, as our customer, and the safety of our employees. For this reason, we have established rules of conduct for the construction site area. If you are planning to visit us and have any questions in advance, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Once we have successfully completed the reconstruction of the hall facade, we will inform you again.
Until then, we look forward to receiving your request for our testing services in all test areas. Please feel free to have a look around our website again; we have updated some information for you.
